“Peace Through Health Care” Davis Projects for Peace Grant (June 2012 - August 2012)

A $10,000 Davis Projects for Peace grant to investigate the prevalence of parasitic, bacterial and viral pathogens and antibiotic resistance thereof in stool samples collected from children of less than five years of age to inform local health clinic policy in Managua, Nicaragua.

Senior Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Thesis (August 2011 - May 2012)

A senior thesis to develop a preparative synthetic route to a known thyroid hormone receptor antagonist, NH-3, in the lab of Dr. Thomas Scanlan in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine.

The Center for Enabling New Technologies through Catalysis (CENTC) Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship (Summer 2011)

Organometallic chemistry research focused on the development of a viable iron hydrogenation catalyst in the lab of Karen Goldberg in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington.
